In the beginning, was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him, nothing was made that was made. John 1:1-3
The reality many fail to see is that God cannot do anything without His Word. There isn’t a but or ifs – the truth cannot change – there is nothing that God has ever done that came into existence outside of His Word. Why? Because He lives by His Word!
The reason this teaching is very important in the time we find ourselves in is that too many believers turn to other things other than the Word of God. God’s words are not mere words. They carry both potency and life. God is Spirit – therefore, His words proceed from the Spirit. That is why from Genesis to the book of Revelation, anywhere you find the Spirit of God present, His Word is automatically there as well.
Until His Word goes forth, there is nothing happening. We read in the opening verse that all things were made by the Word and there was nothing made that was made without the Word. This is very clear and loud – that if you desire something to happen in your life, your first port of call is the Word of God. I know some of us will be thinking about prayer; however, the truth is that prayer is made powerful only when the Word is involved.
If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you[a] will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. John 15:7
From the verse, our prayers or requests are largely dependent on the word in us and not the feelings we have. Prayer is not an outpouring of your feelings or emotions – it is the outpouring of the Word you have. This is so important for you to understand because the Father is always tilted towards His Word. The one possessing His Word is attended to quickly – there is no delay at all.
“Then the Lord said, “Hear what the unjust judge said. 7 And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? 8 I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?” Luke 18:6-8
Since God cannot do anything without His Word, He attends quickly to those who have made His Word the point of their prayer. Understanding the Father this way will take away the many frustrations some go through because they feel He is not moving quickly in their lives.
Since God Cannot Do Anything Without His Word – Celebrate What He Has Spoken To You.
“God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? Numbers 23:19
Your point of celebration must be the moment you receive the Word – why? Because the Word is all that you need to know that God has worked for you His will in your life. Why look beyond what God has said to you? Doubt begins the moment you look beyond the Word delivered to you. For example, when the angel delivered to Mary that she will give birth to a son without having to sleep with Joseph, she asked how it was going to be possible?
The angel then said: “For with God nothing will be impossible.” Luke 1:37. The Greek word translated as “nothing” is the word rhema. Rhema is the spoken word of God. All that angel was inferring to is that, with God, all that he had spoken to Mary was possible. When God speaks, it is possible to conceive without intercourse – praise God!
