God Will Meet You At The Point Of Faith

But without faith, it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Hebrews 11:6

“God will meet you at the point of your need” is a statement that is often said in church. Even though it sounds very powerful, the truth is, God would rather want to meet you at the point of faith. Until you engage God in faith, your needs cannot be met.

One of the common phrases used by Jesus in His earthly ministry was “according to your faith”. Almost all of His miracles were preceded by this phrase. This means that despite the conditions people had if they did not get into contact with Him in faith, their healing wouldn’t have been possible.

A classic case is the story of the Canaanite woman in Matthew 15:21-28. In search of healing for her daughter, she followed Jesus with tears to do something about her condition. She worshiped the Lord with tears – and even though the Lord was sent first to the lost sheep of Israel, the moment her faith came alive, Jesus responded with healing.

The point is, the woman had a need, but the Lord couldn’t do anything about it until her faith was released. Until you encounter God through faith, He cannot meet you at the point of your need. What you need to present to God is faith – not your need. He already knows what you need.

32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. Matthew 6:32

The Father is aware that you need something but what you need to draw His attention to it is faith. Without faith, it is impossible to please God. There is zero chance for you to get anything from the Lord without faith. Faith comes by hearing of the Word of God. In effect, God only does His Word.

Your Point Of Need Must Become Your Point Of Faith

And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?” Luke 18:7-8

Solving your “problems” shouldn’t be a burden. For every situation you encounter, look for a Word from your Father to handle it. The Word is the basis for your faith. Anytime you encounter any challenge, just release your faith to handle it.

God honors faith! He doesn’t want to spend time on the problem. God shall reward you the moment you exhibit faith. God proved that when He came to re-create the work. The whole world was shapeless, but instead of Him talking about the problem, He released His Word.

44 And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground. Luke 22:44

Your prayer life should be full of faith. I have seen many spend time pouring their needs to the Lord. What they think is that God responds just to any kind of prayer. If there is no faith in the prayer, you could even sweat blood and the Father would still not respond. Faith makes any kind of need disappear.

But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. James 1:6-8

Your faith is what moves God. The one who doubts doesn’t believe that the Word will work. If God’s word doesn’t work then, nothing will. Those who doubt will receive nothing from the Lord.

In place of your need find faith. God prefers to meet you at the point of your faith than your need. Holding on to the Word is holding on to what will get rid of the need. When the Father delivers faith to you, it is because He wants to get rid of any problem. Let your faith settle any need in your life today. Amen
