23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Mark 11:23
Faith is everything in the kingdom. Without it, it is impossible to please the Father. Whenever a Word is released from God, there ought to be a correspondent faith to get it to work. The Father’s job is to release words of life – our job on the earth is to walk in faith to make these words work.
Now, one of the most important ingredients to making our faith work is to act on the Word without doubting. The only thing that interferes with the fulfillment of the Father’s will in our lives is when we doubt. Your faith is ready to work when you refuse to give room to the devil to bring any sort of doubt into your heart.
One day, I was at a certain hospital in the city of Accra, Ghana, to observe how things are being done. I saw many patients trooping into the facility seeking to see their doctors. Some of these patients had been on the same medication for a period of time, but even though they haven’t yet seen the changes the doctors may have assured, they still believed that they could get better.
The Lord then asked me, “why can’t my people believe me in such a way that will provoke my Word to work”? “All these people believe that their medication can work – my Word can do even more”. I later realized that the only problem preventing some believers from taking in the Word like they would take their medicine is doubt.
The moment you deal with doubt, your faith will begin to work in earnest.
Now the next day, when they had come out from Bethany, He was hungry. 13 And seeing from afar a fig tree having leaves, He went to see if perhaps He would find something on it. When He came to it, He found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs. 14 In response Jesus said to it, “Let no one eat fruit from you ever again.” Mark 11:12-14
If Jesus had doubted what He said, there was no way the tree was going to die. What we fail to realize most of the time is that we are partners in the discharge of God’s work. What we do is central to the revealing of the glory of God. You’re the one obstructing the manifestation of the glory of God in your life when you doubt – don’t blame the devil.
Faith Thrives In Belief
13 And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and therefore speak. 2 Corinthians 4:13
The Spirit of faith acts in two ways: believing and speaking. You can’t believe and doubt at the same time. If you doubt, you cannot speak. It is only when you believe that faith works. Believe is translated from the Greek word pisteuo. It simply means to consider something to be true or to be convinced.
If you are convinced by the Word from the Father concerning your health, then when you speak it, you shall manifest health. It applies to every aspect of our lives. But what you need to understand is that as a child of God, you have the Spirit from the Father so that you are indeed convinced by what He says. It is only a contrary spirit that will not be convinced by the Words of God.
In conclusion, faith works! But requires you not to doubt! Stay blessed
