Knowing The Proof Of Your Faith

That you do not become [e]sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises. Hebrews 6:12

The proof of your faith is not the number of miracles that have taken place in your life or the many faith works you have carried out. What makes your faith credible before the Father is the patience you possess to see the manifestation of His Word.

Faith and patience are inseparable. Patience is an integral measurement of one’s faith – this was proven in the scriptures by all those who walked with God in faith. Patience, even though hard for many is the icing on the cake if you want to see the glory of God in a way that will surprise your world.

Some often see patience as time-wasting, however, it is what assures you of your complete reliance on God to perform what He says He will do. The proof of your faith is your ability to be calm in the midst of the storm. This is what patience does to you because your heart is at total peace.

Patience is to have an attitude of “it is done”. When you are not sure that your prayer is answered, you find yourself all over the place. Unbelief and doubt are the biggest contributors to being impatient. Knowing that God has heard your prayer is all that you need to be patient no matter the immediate challenge.

The Proof Of Your Faith Is An Indication Of Your Complete Trust In God

13 For when God made a promise to Abraham, because He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself, 14 saying, “Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you.” 15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise. Hebrews 6:13-15

Abraham is a classic example of how to be patient in faith. We often highlight the number of years it took him to have his son – but we fail to acknowledge that, the prophetic Word he carried wasn’t common. His patience to hang on to the word of God until the manifestation of his son proved beyond doubt that he really believed God.

If you indeed believe God, then you will be patient! If you’re not patient, then your faith is dented. Patience is one of the fruits of the Spirit and for good reasons. God is patient. He would have cut off the world if not for His patience.

For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 1 Timothy 2:3-4

The Father’s patience is bringing more souls into the kingdom. He knows His work on the cross through Christ will save many, hence, His patience. The proof of your faith is not to demand God to perform at your will. This attitude has led many believers to be frustrated because they want God to appear when they want to. It is not for God to do our will – it’s the other way round.

The proof of your faith is to have the patience that aligns with the will of God. Patience is the key that opens up faith for the glory of the Lord to manifest. It is safe-mode activated. It carries the power and grace to grant you the peace of mind that transcends all understanding. Be patient and watch the Lord move mightily in your life. Stay blessed.
