Live In The Spirit

If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Galatians 5:25

To live in the Spirit must be the desire of every true Christian – this is the will of God . Let me use this as an illustration: the world often sees a finished product to be better than a raw material. But if you have the opportunity to choose between the raw material and the finished product, which one will you go for? I know most people will opt for the finished product. But without the raw material, there will be no finished product.

To live in the Spirit is like the raw material that is used to produce a product. The world, and in this case the physical world came out of the Spirit. God is Spirit. He didn’t create this universe from any material substance. Everything came out of the Spirit and His Word. In as much as the finished product is useful, the raw material is more valuable because it can reproduce a lot of the finished products.

When we live in the spirit, we align ourselves to the source of everything. The first man Adam was a natural man who couldn’t live nor walk in the Spirit. He was made up of natural substances. Even though God made him, he was most attracted to what he could see around him. He was more attracted to his surroundings because he lacked the mastery to live in the Spirit.

The one who is born again is different from the first man. We have been made new in Christ – not modified, but brand new. We have the same composition as the Father since we didn’t come out from the ground, but from the Holy Spirit – that is, God himself.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 2 corinthians 5:17

Unlike the first man, we are no longer limited to our surroundings because we have been moved from being a finished product to be counted among the source. In other words, now in Christ, we are born in the Spirit, live in the Spirit, and walk in the Spirit. Our presence here in the physical environment cannot prevent us to live in the spirit.

For thirty-three years, Jesus proved to us that we can live consciously of our spiritual life while occupying a body. Now don’t tell me that was Jesus – because the same power that brought Jesus into the world is the same that gave birth to you in Christ.

How To Live In The Spirit?

Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner. John 5:19

The best way to live in the Spirit is to allow the Father to lead. How does He do that? Through His Word! We recently learned that God cannot do anything without His Word. What He says is what He does. Any believer who is addicted to the Word is the one who lives in the Spirit. You can’t walk in the Spirit if you have zero interest in what the Father says. God is Spirit, right? How was he able to create this physical world? Was it not through His Word? So then, an encounter with the Word is an encounter with God who is Spirit.

Jesus said that my sheep knows my voice. A spirit-filled believer is the one who knows the Word and doesn’t just end there, but goes on to do it. Therefore, to live in the spirit is the best life. It is the life of the source (God), and anyone who hails from there must also live in it irrespective of location. Stay blessed
