17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name, they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” Mark 16:17-18
To be in Christ is to live a life full of signs and wonders. We have a different life from what prevails in the world, but many are not aware of how to operate in it. You are a sign and a wonder. One of the ways an unbeliever can identify you as a child of God is the signs and wonders that follow you.
Signs and wonders are the divine identification that accompanies us on earth. Signs and wonders are a result of you being born again. You have the mandate to use the name of Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit to engage the works that glorify the Father.
Unfortunately, some don’t believe in signs and wonders. One will be denying the life of Christ if he doesn’t believe in our divine ability to turn things around spiritually. Living in the Spirit presents the opportunity to intervene in matters on earth. The spirit realm always influences the course of events in the natural world. This is the reason Jesus, when He came on earth, healed the sick, raised the dead, made the poor become rich, and did many great things.
The world has to experience our kind of life. Signs and wonders are not outdated because our God is not dead! We live, move, and have our being in Him. This beautiful life makes it possible to produce the kind of signs and wonders that will draw many to Christ. And as a believer, it’s your singular honor to operate in the power of the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit In Us Guarantees A Life Of Signs And Wonders
7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all:8 for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by [f]the same Spirit, 10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. 11 But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills. 1 Corinthians 12:7-11
The Holy Spirit (God), is responsible for the signs and wonders we produce. With the Holy Spirit in you, you’re prime to do the same things Jesus did. All that it takes is for you to believe that God is at work in and through you. The only thing you need to heal the sick is the Holy Spirit and your belief.
23 Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” Mark 9:23
All things, including signs and wonders, are possible to those who believe. You are ready to live the signs and wonders life as long as you’re full of the Holy Spirit. Remember that in our opening verse, Jesus said the signs will follow those who believe. You need to believe to make way for the Holy Spirit to work in you. Every true child of God must have His Spirit.
9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. Romans 8:9
Without the Holy Spirit, one is not part of Christ. And if you’re not part of Christ, then you cannot flow in signs and wonders. If you want to divinely intervene in what goes on around you, then receive the Holy Spirit, and He will turn you into a sign and a wonder. Stay blessed
