9 God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. 1 Corinthians 1:9
God is faithful – this is the most important thing that every Christian should hold dearly. Doubting arises when one feels God is not up to the task. But is there anything too hard for the Lord? Whether He brings your a miracle or takes you through the storm, God’s purpose has always been to show you His faithfulness.
Faithfulness translates the Greek word pistos. The word believe is also derived from the same root word. However, pistos also means dependable (worthy of reliance or trust), trustworthy, steadfast, unswerving.
God is faithful because He is dependable, steadfast, and trustworthy. You should be confident knowing that whenever God delivers His Word, He shall perform it. His word is not just His bond but is also the conveyor of His life. Therefore, God cannot put His life where He will not gain His glory.
So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me [c]void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. Isaiah 55:11
Glory! God’s Word shall definitely perform what it has been sent to accomplish. This is why God is faithful. It doesn’t matter the duration of time, as long as you’re hanging on His Word and not any human recommendation, it definitely shall come to pass. Amen!
“God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Numbers 23:19
You have to build this faith deep down in your heart. Doubting God puts a dent in His faithfulness. The faithfulness of God prevents Him from going against His own Word. Men may fail you, but not our God – He is faithful!
From Abraham To Jesus, The Faithfulness of God was proven
17 “Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again. 18 No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father.” John 10:17-18
8 And Abraham said, “My son, God will provide for Himself the lamb for a burnt offering.” So the two of them went together. Genesis 22:8
Both Abraham and our Lord Jesus were so sure of the Father’s faithfulness in such a way that they never staggered at His promises. They were so sure that God was more than capable of performing what He said He will do. This should be your attitude in your walk with God. Don’t be in such a haste that you throw His faithfulness to the dogs. For 25 years, Abraham waited for the physical manifestation of the word of God.
He knew time couldn’t determine the manifestation of the Word. He knew that God is always faithful. So much that, when there was no lamb for a sacrifice, He was very sure that God was capable of providing a lamb even at the last second. If there is any Word you are holding onto, be rest assured that the faithfulness of God shall perform it.
Don’t give any room to fear – hold on to what you have received. His Word is so sure and dependable. Have a blessed day.
