The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it. Proverbs 10:22 NKJV.
22 The blessing of the Lord—it makes [truly] rich, and He adds no sorrow with it [neither does toiling increase it]. Proverbs 10:22 AMPC.
The Lord’s blessing is our greatest wealth. All our work adds nothing to it! Proverbs 10:22 TLB.
God’s blessing makes life rich; nothing we do can improve on God. Proverbs 10:22 MSG.

For the first time, I have added different versions of scripture just for us to understand that it is the blessing of the Lord that makes us rich. The world system is built on the idea of working hard before getting to live the life one desires. But such must not be the mindset of a believer.
Believers don’t live by the standards of the world. Toiling (work extremely hard or incessantly) came because of sin. God never intended for humanity to be workaholics. The blessing of the Lord is the oil that lubricates the wheels of prosperity. Too many believers think like unbelievers. They practice ungodly principles and when they suffer the consequences, turn to God to rescue them.
27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female, He created them. 28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” Genesis 1:27-28.
The first thing God did after creating man was to bless him. He didn’t give him land. He didn’t give him cash – pure blessings! And the blessing is the words delivered to them that ensured their prosperity until sin came in. Don’t desire to work more than to have God’s Word. Any work without the blessing will eventually become a toil.
Worry, A Sign That The Blessing Of The Lord Is Not Working
31 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For after all these things, the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Matthew 6:31-33.

Too many believers are worried. A clear indication of their disregard for the blessing of the Lord. Toiling comes with worrying. When you don’t find the desired result after working hard, the obvious thing is to worry. However, the blessings make your prosperity the responsibility of God and not your hard work. The world system chases what they think will bring them peace – but our riches are in God’s Word.
The Greek word translated as a blessing is eulogio. It means good word – Words carrying life from God. The blessing of the Lord carries everything needed for life and godliness. Continuous hard work adds nothing to your wealth when you function under the blessing. The goal today is to draw your heart to focus on the Word of God.
We are living in a time many doubt the Word yet confess they believe. Your actions and inactions will tell if you believe. Prayer is not the solution for prosperity. The blessings make all of God’s wealth available to you. Decide to live off the Word.
17 Then to Adam He said, “Because you have heeded the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you, saying, ‘You shall not eat of it: “Cursed is the ground for your sake; In toil, you shall eat of it all the days of your life. Genesis 3:17.
Toiling came because of sin. The blessing of the Lord will move you away from breaking your back before getting what you need. I prophesy over your life that you shall receive things you don’t sweat for. Houses and possessions shall be yours without toiling for them. The blessing of the Lord shall lead you into greener pastures that eyes have not yet seen. Your life shall be transformational and glorious. Amen!
