For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea. Habakkuk 2:14
From day one, God’s goal has been for the whole world to be occupied with His glory. Everything came from Him, and it is only proper that the universe manifests His glory. The knowledge of the glory of God on the earth is an important desire of the Father.
Sin disrupted the way God wanted us and the cosmos to function. His will, however, has been for the whole world to be full of the knowledge of His glory. Too many people don’t know the glory of God.
A lot of events and occurrences have been attributed to God when He is not behind them. The glory of God is summed up in His life – who He is and what He stands for. Getting hold of the life of God will make you appreciate His glory.
10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly. John 10:10
This is the knowledge that must cover the earth – God is life and gives it more abundantly. The one who kills is the enemy. But there are many out there who believe that it is God who gives, and He is the one who takes. This assertion cannot perfectly describe our Father.
God wants the whole world to know Him as the Father of life. Those of us who are born again are filled with His indestructible life. His life separates us from the rest on earth.
Jesus Reintroduced The Knowledge Of The Glory Of God
6 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16
Jesus spearheaded the reintroduction of the knowledge of the glory of God. He perfectly lived a life that exemplified how the Father wants us to live. He healed the sick because the glory of the Father is for us not to be sick. He raised the dead because the Father doesn’t want us to die. Every single thing he did revealed the glory of the Father.
46 The officers answered, “No man ever spoke like this Man!” John 7:46
Jesus spoke like no one ever did. He spoke by the power of the glory of God, and since men had no knowledge of it, they appreciated the difference. Everything Jesus did was meant to manifest the Father’s glory. He spoke the way the Father wanted Him, and He lived He lives majestically to the glory of God.
God wants us to please Him. He is our source, and glorifying Him requires you to have an intimate fellowship with Him. Without Jesus, no one could see the glory of God.
3 who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had [c]by Himself [d]purged [e]our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high. Hebrews 1:3
Jesus was the brightness of the glory of God. He embodied God’s persona and character. This is the one who leads us back into the knowledge of the glory of God. Whatever you don’t find in Christ cannot be found in God. And this is the more reason we ought to preach the gospel if the world will be covered with the knowledge of the glory of God.
The enemy was after the glory of God upon Adam and His wife. However, Jesus restored it and has given us the mandate to propagate the good news. In Christ, we live and reign as kings. Don’t allow the devil to deceive you to live contrary to the glory of God. Stay blessed.
