9 ‘The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former,’ says the Lord of hosts. ‘And in this place, I will give peace,’ says the Lord of hosts.” Haggai 2:9

The glory of the latter-day temple is a description belonging to the church of God in Christ Jesus. God has poured everything about himself into Christ. And now, it is time we stand out to be counted.
In order to understand the power and glory of the latter-day temple, you need to appreciate what the glory is all about. The Greek word doxa translates glory. It means a proper appraisal or estimate of something. It means the worth, honor, beauty, admiration and wealth of someone. Kabod is the Hebrew word for glory. It means weighty, heavy, honor, and wealth.
The glory of God describes Him in his being, character, power, riches and acts. You become an important person in society when the glory of the Lord takes over you. Therefore, knowing that the glory of the latter-day temple is greater should excite us. Why? Because we, as God’s people, are the temple in which His glory dwells.
THE GLORY OF THE LATTER-DAY TEMPLE IS IN THE BODY OF THE SAINT
19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? 1 Corinthians 6:19

They made the former temple in the old testament with hands. Its glory cannot be compared to what we have in Christ. Even God has stopped dwelling in temples made with hands. He lives in the hearts of us. By departing from the temple made with hands, that glory is already obsolete. Our bodies have become the temple for God’s glory to dwell.
“However, the Most High does not dwell in temples made with hands, as the prophet says. Acts 7:48.
The glory of the latter-day temple is greater because we have become the place God dwells. We are carriers of his glory. Everywhere we go, God’s wealth, honor, admiration, and power are on display in and through us.
51 Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split, 52 and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised. Matthew 27:51-52
The old temple lost its glory the moment Jesus died. God’s presence and majesty left it. He is bigger than a building. However, He chose our hearts and our bodies to deposit the greater of Himself. The glory of the latter-day temple has to be seen in the world. God’s people cannot hide anymore. Show up and be counted. The glory is for you. Arise, shine- for the glory of the Lord is upon you.
No force of darkness can resist the glory of the latter-day temple. God, in all of His regalia, is displaying His outstanding goodness in us. It’s time to know who you’re in Christ. You’re missing the mark because you haven’t yet settled it in your heart that God is dwelling in you. This is so huge! God, the creator and owner of the world, dwells in you! And it seems you haven’t awakened to this joyous news yet. It’s my prayer you jump with joy and walk in what rightfully belongs to you.
No wonder the glory of the latter-day temple is greater. The former was immovable. But now in people, He can touch and transform hearts. God made us in His image. The glory is greater than before. Let’s make sure we are living the way the Father has planned for us to live. Stay blessed.
