22-25 The Spirit however, produces in human life fruits such as these: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, fidelity, tolerance and self-control—and no law exists against any of them. Those who belong to Christ have crucified their old nature with all that it loved and lusted for. If our lives are centred in the Spirit, let us be guided by the Spirit. Galatians 5:22-25
Walking in the Spirit epitomizes the glory of every believer. We walked fully in the human life when we were born into the world – but the moment we received the gospel of our Lord Jesus, the invitation was to live spiritually.
You cannot discount the fact that life in Christ is principally spiritual. Walking in the Spirit, therefore, is how every believer ought to live. It is your mandate to desire to walk in the Spirit. God is Spirit, and His children are spiritual as well.
God is spirit, and those who worship him can only worship in spirit and in reality.” John 4:24
The glory of God is that He is Spirit. In fact, the Holy Spirit is God! God is the Spirit who lives by His Word. That is why the Word that became flesh (Jesus) is God.
“God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? Numbers 23:19
God is not a man. He is Spirit. And now through the gospel, this spiritual life, which no one had from the beginning has been made available through the gospel. God, in Christ, is not saving us to remain in human life. He wants His life to be manifested through us. The only way the world will see His life in us is by walking in the Spirit.
Walking In The Spirit Will Lead You To Enjoy The Power Of God
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. Romans 8:14
Walking in the Spirit is powerful. The life of the spirit is more powerful than human life. We have been called into a higher, better, and powerful life. If you will take hold of this truth and walk in it, you will change things around you in earnest.
Having the Holy Spirit produces power. If by the anointing of the Holy Spirit, the prophets of old were able to wrought many miracles, imagine the one who has the very life, not just an anointing of the Holy Spirit.
15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved, but he who does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will follow those who [d]believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they[e] will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” Mark 16:15-18
The miraculous life in the above scripture talks of the one walking in the Spirit. We are short-changing our lives if we are not living the way of the Spirit. The devil cannot do anything about it because we have the very life of God. It is not difficult to walk in the Spirit if you understand the kind of life you have in Christ.
The glory of God is in the Spirit that manifests in the natural. To make a difference in your natural life, you should first enjoy walking in the Spirit. Live the way the Father desires you to live.
