16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed [k]from faith to faith; as it is written: “[l]But the righteous one will live by faith.” Romans 1:16-17
The kingdom of God has no room for idle people. Preaching the gospel of the kingdom is the collective responsibility of all believers. In fact, it is mandatory, to preach or the Father won’t be pleased with you.
Unfortunately, not many believers are preaching the gospel daily – this ought not to be so. It seems some of us don’t appreciate what we have. We carry the good news that is capable of aligning anybody to the glory of God. It is in the preaching of the good news that the world can discover God’s righteousness.
37 Then He *said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. 38 Therefore, plead with the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.” Matthew 9:37-38
God needs more workers – He is in the business of harvesting souls with the gospel. Understand that you became a worker for the Lord the moment you got saved. Don’t be deceived into thinking that only pastors have the mandate to preach the gospel – we are all called to preach!
Our calling is to herald the glorious life we have in Christ Jesus. We have a message that everyone needs to know about. We carry what the world needs for their total liberation from the power of darkness. Being silent, therefore, is an endorsement of what the devil is doing in the lives of others.
Would you want to see someone die from a disease or be the one that provides the solution? It is the righteousness of God to walk in perfect health, but until you administer the gospel, people may suffer.
Jesus Commanded Us To Preach The Gospel
15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Mark 16:15
Our Lord and Savior instructed us to preach the gospel. The word gospel simply means good news. So what does the good news entails? The whole world was subjected to the pain and torture of the powers of darkness as a result of the sin committed by Adam and Eve.
Sickness and diseases, poverty, lack, sexual wickedness (immorality), evil tendencies, and various depraved actions were the order of the day. The goal of God for creating man, however, was to enjoy His glory. People suffered so much until there was a rescue mission.
God sent Jesus as a propitiation for our sin and to release us from the oppression of the devil. He came to grant us freedom through His death on the cross and subsequently, His resurrection. Now, anyone who believes in Jesus as the one sent to set us free is immediately translated from the kingdom of darkness into the marvelous light of God.
This guarantees a life devoid of all the sufferings that many are used to. Physical death, sicknesses, diseases, poverty, lack, sexual immorality, etc are no more meant to be the daily occurrences in the lives of those who have been saved.
You are set free to live the life that God lives and to properly represent Him in this world. Precious one, this is the gospel in a nutshell. This is the exciting news we are commanded to tell the whole world. You cannot miss this opportunity by not sharing the solution to the many problems encountering people.
Make it your priority to preach the gospel to as many people as possible. Jesus is coming soon. Preach the gospel with urgency. The Lord has given us something to be proud of and not to be ashamed of. Stay blessed
