Where we were before coming into the world has been a question on the minds of many for a long time. I have heard some hilarious answers to the question. But as a believer, you ought to have the right answers for everyone.
The claim that we were angels with God before we came into this world is just fantasy. Angels are angels. Man is man. I have maintained over a period of time that God never created the first man a spiritual being. Man was created from the ground to look like God – however, he was fully natural.
You must understand that the first man wasn’t spiritual. There is no way you would believe where you came from if you don’t get this out of the way. It is in Christ that we gained our spirituality.
45 And so it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit. 46 However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural, and afterward the spiritual. 47 The first man was of the earth, made[i] of dust; the second Man is [j]the Lord from heaven. 48 As was the [k]man of dust, so also are those who are made of dust; and as is the heavenly Man, so also are those who are heavenly. 49 And as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we[l] shall also bear the image of the heavenly Man. 1 Corinthians 15:45-49
Jesus was from above. The first man was from the ground. Everything about him was limited to the earth. He lived by sight. The first man had no authority in the spirit because he was made to rule the earth.
Man Is The Answer To The Question, Where Were You Before Coming Into The World?
12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the [e]right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. John 1:12-13
No one was an angel before coming into this world. We were all in the reproductive system of our parents before coming into the world. Humanity was referred to as mankind for a reason. Mankind literally means a kind of man.
You were in the sperms of your biological father. God created man in such a way that he could reproduce according to his kind. The first man was made for an earthly assignment. If he came from heaven as an angel, God would have lost him forever after the fall. Because in the spirit, what happens is forever.
This truth makes salvation and being born again so important. Jesus came from above. And by taking our place in sin, He has allowed us to have a stake in the divine nature. It is until a person receives the life of God in Christ Jesus that he becomes a new species of being.
So forget about the notion that you were an angel. That’s pure fantasy. Before you received Christ, you were born of blood and that of the will of a man. A man and a woman gave birth to you.
Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward. Psalm 127:3
The system to procreate was set up by God. It was that nature that sinned and became a subject to the devil. Preaching the gospel helps people to turn away from going through the experiences of the sinful nature and to guarantee them the opportunity of encountering the life of God on the earth. Stay blessed
