Wrestle Not Against Flesh And Blood

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12

We must not fight against flesh and blood because people are at the core of everything God does. The quest to see others destroyed shouldn’t be part of our desire if indeed we are born again. Why? Because the Father is solely interested in saving people from the bondage of sin and death.

 ³ For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, ⁴ who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 1 Timothy 2:3-4

The number one desire of God is to see people saved and not destroyed. If you pray for someone to die for instance, who will be left for you to preach the gospel to? Don’t let anyone deceive you – we are not fighting people. In fact, our fight is not what you’re thinking of – as in the normal sense of fighting. We are those permitted to enforce the victory of Christ in the world.

We were instructed by the Lord to cast out demons and not to destroy people. Our goal is to fight the devil with the faith the Father has given us. God doesn’t have death in Him therefore, your prayer for anyone to die will not be answered by Him. If anyone ever died as a result of your prayers, then know that the devil carried out that assignment on your behalf.

Wicked spirits are out there destroying lives. We can’t contribute to the advancement of the devil’s desire. We have been saved from the power of darkness so that we can become agents of change for those who by themselves can’t come out. The gospel must be preached through us. We carry the grace to bring people to the point of escaping the evil desires of the devil. God is love and not hatred. Precious one, now that no human being can be your enemy. We have a common enemy who s Satan.

Desire To Destroy The Works Of The Devil And Not To Fight Against Flesh And Blood

He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose, the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. 1 John 3:8

John couldn’t have put it better; the goal of Jesus in the world was to destroy the works of the devil. He wasn’t manifested to destroy people but the works of the devil. If this Jesus is your Lord, then you have no business praying for people to die just for you to have something. If you realize that Satan is manipulating someone against you, what you do is destroy that work of the devil – the person needs to be saved.

Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.” And they divided His garments and cast lots. Luke 23:34

Jesus was in a much better position to curse or rain down destruction on His murderers but what did He do? He rather prayed for their forgiveness – why? Because they didn’t know what they were doing. You might be thinking that fella who claims to hate you knows what he is doing. When the devil blinds the eyes of people, they have no idea what they do. Your work is to cast out demons from people and not to wish for their death. Absolutely no one should die for you to prosper. Jesus died for your sakes on the cross. Therefore, don’t fight with people -only cast out demons. Stay blessed.

Prayer For Today

Precious Father, I thank you in the name of the Lord Jesus for the love that has been poured into my heart. Today, I function in your love as my desire to see people saved increases by your grace. Father, I take authority in your name and release anyone I come across today whose life has been destroyed by the wickedness of the devil. By your love, I am an agent of salvation and not destruction. Amen!
